FFF Champions join forces with Beyond Meat to launch the Beyond Burger Jalapeño.

Football is getting a delicious, plant-based twist this summer! As UEFA champions a greener future with plant-based food options at stadiums, our champions Lia Wälti and Alfie Steiner are joining forces with Beyond Meat to launch the all-new, spicy-kickin' Beyond Burger Jalapeño.

A Recipe for Victory (and Flavour!)

Just in time for kick-off, Arsenal WFC player Lia Wälti and plant-based chef Alfie Steiner have teamed up to create a mouthwatering 100% plant-based burger recipe using the Beyond Burger Jalapeño. Catch their sizzling match-day video on Instagram for some serious foodie inspiration.

Footballers for a Better Planet

Lia Wälti, a flexitarian and climate champion for Football For Future, is proud to support this campaign. "By eating less meat, we can help the planet," she says. "This burger tastes just like the real thing but is kinder to the planet."

Alfie Steiner is equally enthusiastic: "The Beyond Burger Jalapeño is juicy, spicy, and packed with flavour. It's the perfect match-day meal for fans at home!"

The plant-based movement is sweeping through the football world, with other stars like Gareth Bale, Chris Smalling, and Héctor Bellerín also embracing a more sustainable diet.

The Impact

With nearly a quarter of global greenhouse gas emissions coming from agriculture, and livestock a major contributor, fans are looking for plant-based options to enjoy on match day.

Global food production occupies an area equivalent to 3.19 trillion football pitches and agriculture consumes 70% of global freshwater; a weight 3 million times heavier than all humans combined, let alone football fans. By choosing plant-based options, like Beyond Meat, fans have the ability to choose to protect our planet.

We’re proud to be able to connect our champions to projects that matter. We believe football can drive society to a more sustainable future.
