FFF delivers talk at the University of Oxford on World Wildlife Day

FFF were delighted to be invited to deliver a talk on climate action and environmental sustainability in football at the University of Oxford. Barney Weston, Co-Founder and Co-Director of FFF, delivered the talk at the School of Geography and the Environment.

The talk was titled “Football & Climate Change: The Beautiful Game on World Wildlife Day” and took place on World Wildlife Day. Barney talked about the relationship between football and climate change, the cultural power of football, and challenges within the football and climate sector.

It was fantastic to meet an engaging audience made up of Oxford students, staff, and the public, who contributed to a thought-provoking Q&A session and took a strong interest in FFF’s work.

This talk follows on from FFF previously hosting a panel discussion on football and sustainability for the Environmental Change Institute, part of the School of Geography and the Environment, at the University of Oxford last year - you can watch that discussion here.
