FFF 2025 round-up

Happy New Year to everyone in the FFF community!

This week, we have been reflecting on an amazing 2025, a year full of progress in the football and climate space, in which we launched some incredible projects and worked with inspirational people from across the game.

Here are a few of our highlights:

  • We continued to support clubs, organisations and government bodies at every level of the game to meet their sustainability goals.

  • We supported players leading change on and off the pitch, with 25 current professionals involved in our Climate Champions Community with Common Goal.

  • We delivered 20 workshops to over 300 academy players, and empowered more than 1500 young people to be climate leaders of the future.

  • We launched our landmark climate report, Pitches in Peril, alongside Common Goal, that offered unprecedented analysis of how rising heat, flooding, and drought will reshape the places that we play the game.

  • We were featured in almost 300 stories in media including Reuters, The Guardian, The BBC, Forbes, and CBS.

In 2026 and beyond, the climate conversation continues- we can’t wait to build on our World Cup climate risk campaign and continue to leverage the social and cultural power of football to shape the climate conversation.

We are incredibly proud to be part of a growing movement, powered by fans, players, clubs and partners.
