Football For Future shortlisted for BBC Green Sport Awards

Football For Future (FFF) are delighted to announce that we have been nominated for the Teamwork Award in the inaugural BBC Green Sport Awards

The Teamwork Award is one of five categories in the awards, and is “for any sporting organisation (professional, community-level or grassroots) that has actively educated or engaged participants, fans, citizens or society at large on climate action.”

Other categories in this year's awards also include Athlete of the Year, Young Athlete of the Year, Ambition & Impact Award and the Evergreen Athlete Award which was given to former racing driver Leilani Münter.

The awards celebrate individuals and organisations from across the globe who are actively contributing to a more environmentally sustainable future through their sporting profile and practices.

Whether it’s calling on the government to embed sustainability into English football, or delivering educational workshops with Nike, FFF have been busy over the last year working on building a more sustainable culture in football, and so we are very proud to have our efforts recognised.

We wish congratulations and good luck to all of the other nominees. The winners will be announced next week, Tuesday 4th October, on the BBC Sport website and during this year’s Sport Positive Summit at Wembley Stadium.
