Football For Future partnered with Generation Amazing to deliver a workshop to young people from around the world as part of the Generation Amazing Youth Festival. One week before the FIFA World Cup 2022 commenced, 24 participants took part in our Climate Change, Sustainability and Football Crash Course in Doha.

We’re pleased to announce that FFF have partnered with Sussex County FA, to help shed light on the climate crises threatening our game.

Football is universal and the World Cup is its greatest stage. However, we cannot ignore that the environmental impact of the World Cup is monumental. The challenge is well understood. But what are the solutions?

FFF have partnered with football x climate charity Pledgeball, delivering a workshop that encourages football fans to ask their clubs what they are doing to tackle climate change, and to pledge to reduce their personal carbon emissions.

FFF delivered our workshops to the players in Chelsea Academy’s Under-13 to Under-16 age groups. The sessions were the first of their kind delivered to Academy players, as part of a new extension of our Champions programme.

FFF have been nominated for the Teamwork Award in the inaugural BBC Green Sport Awards. The awards celebrate individuals and organisations from across the globe who are actively contributing to a more environmentally sustainable future through their sporting profile and practices.

Football For Future delivered their first educational workshops at a Nike Members event, run by London guerrilla gardeners Grow2Know. The event also saw Team FFF line up against Grenfell Athletic FC for the ‘Game for Good’, which finished 3-3.

Environmental football non-profit, Football For Future, have launched a new handbook for Nike athletes, supporting them to become Climate Champions.

Sunday 10th July - the Football For Future team travelled to Battersea Park in South West London, to attend The Kick Off with Spirit of Football. The location was chosen to honour the spot where the first ever official game of FA Rules football was played in the year 1864.

Football For Future were delighted to launch our industry-leading training for club staff in April, delivering our training course at Wolves to educate and empower staff at the club to engage with sustainability in their personal and professional lives.

Football For Future was invited to chair a panel discussion at the University of Oxford on sustainability in English football, bringing together a variety of voices from across the sport to think about leading on sustainability in the sector.
